About Me
My name is Alex Shorts. I moved to East Texas seeking a place to raise my family. Here I found an amazing community and a place to call home.

As an engineer my foundation has been built on 10 years of experience in the renewable industry. In which I've had the joy of pushing the edges of the renewable market. I didn't always want to be an electrical engineer as I got a BA in civil engineering, however providence dictated otherwise. I found a way into Tesla and crafted a path from a simple residential draftsman to a stamping engineer on many major commercial projects. In that journey I've built design systems, help scale organizations, led teams and signed off on projects that changed the societies where they are placed. I'm refocusing those mindsets and skills to build a company allowing me to offer my services to you.​

Crafting Eden was born out of a desire to create something greater. The mission is to empower not only myself but those around me. A place like Eden symbolizes abundance and flourishing. As a designer, my goal is to offer more than expected, giving beyond what is received. The vision is to build a foundation of strength so that, out of our overflow, we can support those around us.
